The Chinese word for crisis is made up of two ideograms: wei and gi. Wei means danger or risk. Gi means opportunity. Negative news tends to fuel the parts of us that sense only danger, causing us to become fearful and pessimistic. However, if we can separate from these and open a dialogue with our more resourceful and optimistic parts, we will be better able to grasp the opportunities inherent in these uncertain times.
