‘There are an infinite number of selves within us. Each has something to teach us. Each brings added richness to our perception of the world around us. Relationship challenges more and more of these selves to emerge as we become ever more deeply involved with another human being.’ - Drs Hal & Sidra Stone
Life would be so easy if you were always of one mind. The reality is that you are made up of many different minds or selves. You can recognise this in such statements as: “A part of me really feels very attracted to him/her, but another part of me thinks I should be careful not to get too involved.”
When you are in a relationship an interesting question arises: which parts of you are involved with which parts of your partner? Perhaps you have some parts that want to be in the relationship whilst others are trying to sabotage it. As a result, it can be very difficult to maintain the connection between you and your partner.
This workshop will give you the tools you need to:
Communicating with an awareness of what your different parts want and need brings new depth and richness to relationship. It also enables you to create “no-fault” partnerships in which you can truly love each other without losing yourselves.
The workshop will explore:
The Basic Elements of Voice Dialogue, relationship and the Psychology of selves. Their origins and development by Hal & Sidra Stone.
